HTTP Activation Alerting Mechanism

Sends your notification to a web endpoint capable of receiving CAP XML via an HTTP(S) request.

HTTP Activation subscribers are organized into groups.  The groups consist of a group code, group name, and description.

The endpoints are added under the Subscribers tab.  There is both an “Activation URL” and an optional “Deactivation URL”.  Both URLs can be configured for either POST or GET HTTP requests.  When POST is selected, the CAP XML is sent as the request body.  When GET is selected, no CAP XML is sent.  The Deactivation URL is accessed only when a user deactivates an alert. When subscribing web endpoints, you must also choose one or more groups.

Deactivation

If you have a deactivation URL, the Deactivation CAP msgType needs to be set to Cancel in the Dashboard in order for the deactivation to work: https://[dashboardURL].apparmor.com/Notifications/settings/
