Conference Bridge Alerting Mechanism

Open a conference call bridge, and automatically calls out to attendees to bring them into the conference call.

You can check out the Conference Call Video for an overview of how Conference Calling works.

The video above doesn't mention the Conference Calling Alerting Mechanism, but the setup for that is quite similar to the other Alerting Mechanisms, and is undertaken by going to Communications > Alerting Mechanisms > Conference Bridge > View Details:

Here are the steps you need to take to configure:

1. Define which Bridges you want.
   
   

2. Set up the desired Conference Call Bridge(s) in the Dashboard by going to Communications > Conference Bridges > Create New Bridge:

3. Then, add the required bridge participants by clicking on the Choose Action button next to the relevant conference bridge, then select Participants from the dropdown:
   
   

   
   
   

4. You can then add participants into the list manually by typing in their name and number, then clicking on the Add Participant button:
   
   

   
   
   

5. Create Alerting Mechanism groups and subscribe the desired Bridges by going to Communications > Alerting Mechanisms > Conference Bridge > View Details > Add Group. Then type in the Group Code, Group Name, and Description, and click Save Group:
   
   

   
   
   

6. Click on the Subscribers tab and add the relevant conference bridge to the group you had just created by selecting Subscribe Bridge, check off the corresponding group, and click on the Subscribe button:
   
   

   
   
   

7. Add the group(s) created to your Sending Profile(s) in the Sending Profile tab, so that dispatchers will be able to select from the list when they send out a notification.
