WorkAlone makes it possible for your organization’s safety app to check in with a WorkAlone User at regular intervals when they’re working alone.

Here’s a quick video on the basics of WorkAlone: http://video.apparmor.com/WorkAlone/

Here’s how it works:

  1. The end user selects the Start WorkAlone button in the app. There they enter important information such as how long they’re working, how often the app should check in on them, and who their emergency contact should be.

  2. The app will then send the WorkAlone User a Push Notification at the at the specified interval, asking them to check into their WorkAlone session. The user must then enter the app and tap the “Check In” button to check into their WorkAlone session.

  3. Based on whether the user checks in or not, one of two scenarios occurs:

    1. If the user checks in at each specified interval, the WorkAlone ends at the specified time.

    2. If the user fails to check in within 5 minutes of the specified time, security services will be notified.

  4. When security receives the call, they will be read a message by our automated voice call system containing the user’s information, and will have the option to call the end user back, simply by hitting “1”.

  5. Additionally, the user information can be found in the Dashboard by going to Location Map > WorkAlone Sessions > WorkAlone Session History > Details:

  6. Once in the Details page, you will be able to see the information the user had keyed in before starting their WorkAlone session such as their location, how often they want to be checked in on, how long their WorkAlone session is for, and the detailed WorkAlone session alerts log.

  7. If you want to know more about the user’s information like their name and phone number, just click on the User Details button on the top right corner of the page:
