Email Messages offer a comprehensive notification capability with high message payload. Delivery times on email messages depend on the receiving email server.
The Email Server tab allows you to configure which email server will be used to send the messages. The default option is the AppArmor SMTP Server. We recommend that you use this option. We actively monitor the sending reputation of our systems to ensure high delivery rates. We also recommend that you whitelist the AppArmor SMTP Server with your email provider to ensure optimal performance, and add our SMTP server to your DNS SPF entry. Alternatively, you can provide your own STMP server details. Our system will authenticate with your server and send the messages. You can provide multiple SMTP account to increase the delivery rate and overcome any your SMTP server account sending limits.
Subscribers are organized into groups. The groups consist of a group code, group name, and description.
Users are subscribed using an email address. The email address and one or more groups must be selected when subscribing a user.
The Suppressions tab displays any addresses that will be omitted from future messages. Email addresses are automatically added to the suppressions list when:
- A hard bounce occurs (bad address, mailbox does not exist, etc.)
- The user click the “unsubscribe” link within the email or the header of their email software.
- The user reports the message as spam to their email service provider.
If you believe that a user has been added to the suppression list in error, you can manually remove them.
The Tools tab allows you to bulk subscribe users by pasting a list of email addresses and selecting the groups you would like them subscribed to. There is also an HTML subscription section that allows you to embed a widget onto your website to allow users to subscribe online via your website.
