This page describes the Mobile BlueLight feature, how it works, and how it can be configured in the DesignerThe Mobile Bluelight feature allows users to simultaneously call your security team, and provide their location in real-time.  Your security team is able to view the caller's location on the Location Map.

How It Works

...

  1. The user enters the "Call (Beacon) Module" in the mobile app

  2. The user taps "Call Now" and initates a call to your security team

  3. The user's location is sent to the Dashboard

    .

  4. An

    Alert

alert appears on the Dashboard to

    users

staff with the Location Map permission

    (Dispatcher).
  5. The user is prompted to call the associated phone number.
  6. The Dispatcher

  7. Your security team can watch the user's location on the location map, and view user details if there is information associated with the User's device ID in the Users table

    .

Configuring this feature in your mobile app

  1. In the Designer, use the "Call (Beacon)" Module to create a Mobile BlueLight.

  2. The Beacon URL field should point to https://[dashboardURLCode].apparmor.com/

    BeaconServer

    BeaconServer

  3. The Phone Number field should point to the number specified by the Client.

Info
The "Call (Beacon)" Module can be used for any phone call! See the BCIT app for an example. They've made many of the phone numbers in their app Beacons, and simply called each call a "Call with Location Share".
