The Staff section allows you to add staff members and assign appropriate user rights. The interface also allows you to bulk invite users. See User Accounts and Permissions video for details.
This document outlines the different permissions in the Dashboard, and how they affect a Dashboard user’s experience.
If you hover over the permissions in the Staff page, you will see what permission each icon represents. You can also toggle (enable / disable) a permission by clicking on the icon itself.
Permissions
AppArmor Safety App-Related Permissions

- Allows a user to accept and monitor Mobile BlueLight and Virtual Walkhome requests.
- Also allows access to the Walk History tab that shows all past walks from Virtual Walkhome, Mobile BlueLight, and Friend Walk.

- Allows a user to view tip reports that have been sent through the app, and to receive notifications when one comes through. This is a relatively new feature.
Staff
- This is effectively the "Admin" permission, as it allows a user to add and remove Staff and Change Staff permissions (including their own). Only the highest-level users should be given this permission.

- Allows a user to access the Send Notification section, with access to Sending Profiles marked as "Test". Also gives access to the Tracking section.
Exercise Notification
- Allows a user to access the Send Notification section, with access to Sending Profiles marked as "Exercise". Also gives access to the Tracking section.
Actual Notification
- Allows a user to access the Send Notification section, with access to Sending Profiles marked as "Actual". Also gives access to the Tracking section.

- This is the administrative permission for the AppArmor Alert Mass Notification product. It gives access to the Alerting Mechanisms, Templates, and Sending Profiles sections.
Groups
WeYou can also provide access to the dashboard via groups. Groups are a fairly recent feature that we added to the Dashboard.
To add a user to a Group, you should first select the "Add Staff" button, input that user's name and email, and then uncheck the "Permissions" so none are selected.
You can then edit group members in the "Groups" tab. The group permissions you have created in the "Groups" tab will only apply if you uncheck all the permissions when adding a staff.
