The AppArmor Dashboard supports setting up a verified number. If you complete this configuration, any Voice Calls sent through the AppArmor Alert Unified Notification platform will display the number you have verified as the incoming caller.
...
- In the Dashboard, click Communications → Alerting Mechanisms → Voice Call (View Details)
- In the Voice Call section, click the Tools tab.
- Under Verified Number, click the Assign Verified Number button.
- You'll be prompted for a phone number and optional extension. Enter them and click Verify Now.
- NOTE: Assigning an extension is for the purposes of verifying the number only. The extension will never display in the incoming Caller ID.
- When you click Verify Now, you'll see a 6 digit verification code, and a call will be placed to the number you've specified.
- Answer the call, and enter the verification code as instructed.
- Your verified number is now set up. All Voice Calls places from the AppArmor Alert Unified Notification Platform will be placed from the Verified Number.

Please note that AppArmor is not able to edit the name that is displayed along with the phone number. The name on Caller ID is generated by the phone provider of the person receiving the call. Phone companies query a number of different databases for their Call display values, and we don't have the ability to update these, unfortunately. It might be possible for you to change the call ID name for the phone numbers that you've verified, if you own them, but this is not a setting that we can edit on our end. |
